Throughout her journey to become a musician, Icha (SoundE) has studied many genres and styles of music, including Rock, Pop, Country, Jazz, Classical, and Latin. Working from this base of diverse knowledge, she has gravitated toward an individual hybrid style of Rock, Pop, and Country. Citing The Dave Matthews Band as one of her primary influences, Icha has developed a talent for writing songs with mainstream appeal. Though stylistically different from her own, she very much admires Matthews’ musicianship and has sought to carefully study his techniques for singing, songwriting, and crafting good harmonies. Icha has been playing guitar since she was 12 years old. In high school, she joined her first group band, for which she played lead and rhythm guitar, and sang backing vocals. From 1997 until 2002, she gained a wealth of live performance experience, playing in cafés and performing in various special events, television broadcasts, and Governmental and Presidential events. At age 20, Icha decided against joining another group band, choosing instead to return to writing her own original material. Her computer skills helped her to become proficient in home digital recording, which allowed her to produce and release her first solo album Not Think Hard, But Deeply in January 2004. She has marketed and sold this self-released album through the Internet at www.cdbaby.com, and her single “Don’t Ever Think” has garnered “Best Top 10” honors at www.broadjam.com. Her effort and determination on this release has paid off with praise and critical acclaim from musicians and fans from many regions around the world. Since 2004, Icha has served as Sound Engineer and Technical Manager for the Indonesian band Bumblebee. In her spare time, she continues to write and record in preparation for her second album. She looks forward to future opportunities with an open mind, in hopes of releasing her second album and possibly re-recording her first album for larger release. Then she will say to the WORLD.................”I DID IT!!!”
