Vahagn "Vahagni"

Born into a family of artists, Vahagni began his journey into the world of music at a very young age. As a Composer and Guitarist Vahagni spent several years living and studying in Andalucia, Spain, were he was able to create a unique sound combining Flamenco with elements from Armenian, Jazz and World music concepts.

Upon returning to the United States, Vahagni recorded his first self produced album " Short Stories"( available on i tunes and CD baby). The album features musicians such as, Jimmy Branly, Carlitos del Puerto and Luis Conte to name a few. Vahagni's talent has taken him on several World Tours, Festivals, Clinics, and appearances on television and radio shows. A side from performing, Vahagni also teaches Guitar at the College of the Canyons and writes a column for Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine called "Flamenco-ology. Vahagni is endorsed by La'bella strings, Godin Guitars and Andres Dominguez Guitars.

Recently Vahagni was nominated for the " Best Flamenco Composition of the year" at the JPF music awards. Vahagni's first album "Short Stories" was the winner of " Best Instrumental Album of the year" at the International Armenian Music Awards.
